Johannes Lichtman is the author of the novel Intention, which will be published in February 2027 by Doubleday. His previous novels are Calling Ukraine and Such Good Work, which was chosen as a 5 Under 35 honoree by the National Book Foundation. His writing has been published by The Paris Review, The Harvard Review, Foreign Policy, and others. He was born in Stockholm and lives in Baltimore.
